Hello Colleague,

We hope you’ve had a great term and are looking forward to a restful break. 😊

Please be aware that from this summer onwards GCSE (9-1) Maths question papers will have a more distinct ‘F’ or ‘H’ on their front covers and both Foundation and Higher tier question papers will be issued on white paper (previously, Foundation tier question papers were printed on ‘vanilla’ colour paper). This follows discussion with centres and a successful trial in November 2022. The November 2022 question papers available on Teach Cambridge show the new style front covers.

As always, if you have any questions or if we can give you any further support, please get in touch. Our role is to support you as you deliver our qualifications.

New A Level Maths alternative papers on Teach Cambridge

We’ve just published a new set of alternative papers for A Level Maths A (H240).

These alternative papers are amended versions of the 3 original summer 2022 H240 question papers (the question wording is the same, but the new papers have different values/equations/etc. in questions, so students need to make different calculations).

By using them together with the original papers, they enable you to monitor your students' progress between assessments, or you could just use them as a normal mock.

If you’ve not set up an account yet, visit our Teach Cambridge page to find out how to do so.

A well-rounded Pi blog

To mark National Pi Day on 14 March (or to get in there early for Pi Approximation Day on 22 July) Steven has written another blog for you, ‘Celebrating Pi across the curriculum’.

In this blog he considers how pi appears in a number of different subject-specific settings, with teaching ideas and links to activities included. Take a read now to go on a round trip of Steven’s pick of pi facts, encircling everything from piano scales to a particularly pious basin…
