Design your own topic tests, homework activities, and end of year mock exams with ExamBuilder. Our free question-building platform allows you to filter by question types or topics or both. You also have the ability to select parts of questions, or full questions so you have a test that is bespoke and specific to your students.

ExamBuilder - free and easy to use

ExamBuilder is free for all OCR centres with an Interchange* account and gives you unlimited users per centre.  When you sign up for ExamBuilder and your details have been verified, you will receive an automated email from no-reply@exambuilder.ocr.org.uk to finish your registration and gain access to ExamBuilder.

Creating tests

Give your students the opportunity to practice and build confidence with a mock test. After selecting your subject, you can choose to either 'Create a New Test' from the complete bank of questions, access previously saved tests from 'My Tests' or view ready made papers in 'OCR Past Papers':

Filter by level, question type, topic or unit/paper

Create an assessment that suits the abilities of your students and tailor questions or parts of questions to closely reflect the topics you've covered.

Create a test by selecting questions using a range of filters and then reorder your questions as required. Question numbering will update automatically.

Export and share your test

Once you've finished tailoring your test, set a name for the test and assign a 'time available' for the whole paper. You can then choose either a Word or PDF export, with or without a mark scheme and OCR cover page.

Saved tests are immediately available in the 'My Tests' area and can be instantly shared with all other users at your centre.
