Create mock assessments for our new Functional Skills qualifications

We've mapped some of our legacy Cambridge progression content for Functional Skills English and maths into ExamBuilder, our question-building platform, enabling you to create individual tests that cover the content in the new qualifications. Perfect for mock examinations for your students.

You can create mock or topic tests across the different Functional Skills levels and filter by question types or topics or both, so you have a test that is bespoke and specific to your students.

We've added 10 papers per subject so far with more content due to be added shortly including the new draft Sample Assessment Materials (SAMs) once they've been approved.

Creating tests

Give your students the opportunity to practise and build confidence with a mock test.  After selecting English or maths, you can choose to either 'Create a New Test' from the complete bank of questions, access previously saved tests from 'My Tests or view ready made papers in 'OCR Past Papers':

Create an assessment that suits the abilities of your students and tailor questions or parts of questions to closely reflect the topics you've covered.

Create a test by selecting questions using a range of filters and then reorder your questions as required.  Question numbering will update automatically.

Export and share your test

Once you've finished tailoring your test, set a name for the test and assign a 'time available' for the whole paper.  You can then choose either a Word or PDF export, with or without a mark scheme and OCR cover page.

Saved tests are immediately available in the 'My Tests' area and can be instantly shared with all other users at your centre.
