Update 26 August

Thanks to swift action from schools and colleges, we now have the additional information for the vast majority of Level 1/ 2 Cambridge Nationals results where we’d previously identified a risk that the final result might not include an allowance for Covid disruption. We have updated thousands of results to schools and colleges – some asking us to review cases beyond those we had initially identified. We had previously anticipated 48hr processing times, but this is no longer the case. As in all years, there will be some exceptional cases. We are ready to process any additional responses as soon as we receive them.

Update 25 August

Thanks to schools and colleges for the speed and scale of their actions, we had over 4,400 responses to our call for checks on about 5,800 Level 1/ 2 Cambridge Nationals results where we’d identified a risk the final result might not include an allowance for Covid disruption. We have now sent changes to results from these responses back to schools and colleges. We are ready to process any additional responses as soon as we receive them.

Update 24 August

Congratulations to all students receiving results this week – their hard work and resilience in the face of Covid disruptions make these achievements all the more significant.

Hundreds of thousands of students will receive OCR GCSE and Cambridge Nationals results this Thursday.

We have delivered over 340,000 GCSE and over 130,000 Cambridge Nationals results to schools and colleges.

Final checks and late or missing results

The vast majority of qualification results have been delivered on time, and we are well on the way to issuing the remainder.

As in all years, we are working with schools and colleges to understand and deliver final results, for example where some information about students’ achievements is missing.

Given the pandemic-era adaptations, we have been in contact with schools and colleges to ask them to check results particularly carefully. We are very grateful to schools and colleges for their extra work and support in this.

Earlier this week, we identified about 5,800 Level 1/2 Cambridge Nationals results that were at risk of not including one of the allowances for Covid disruption, meaning some results may need to be updated after results day.

We have taken, and are continuing to take, extensive action, including working with schools and colleges, to ensure students receive the results they deserve. Of the 5,800 results we identified, we have received additional information about more than 3,600 results so far, with more coming in all the time.

In these cases, we will issue updated results within 48 hours, allowing time to calculate and check the updated result. We are very grateful to schools and colleges for their swift work in resolving potential issues with some Cambridge Nationals results.
