Hello Colleague,

Well done, weโ€™re very nearly at the end of the yearโ€ฆ We hope youโ€™ve had a great term and are looking forward to many end of year celebrations with colleagues, family and friends.

The outcome of Ofqualโ€™s consultation on formulae sheets for GCSE (9-1) Maths in 2023 was published last week. The DfEโ€™s proposal that GCSE (9-1) Maths students should be given a formulae sheet in the 2023 exams was confirmed.

November 2022 GCSE (9-1) Maths question papers and draft mark schemes are now available to download from OCR Interchange. Final mark schemes, analysis grids, examinersโ€™ reports and grade boundaries will be published on results day (Thursday 12 January 2023).

Arrangements for GCSE, AS and A Level exams in 2023 have now been announced.

  • Grading in 2023 will broadly be in line with before the pandemic.
  • Advance information will not be issued.
  • Formulae sheets will be provided in GCSE (9-1) Maths.

Ofqual has now published the outcome of their consultation on the formulae and equation sheets for GCSE (9-1) Maths, Physics and Combined Science exams in 2023, confirming that formulae and equation sheets will be issued.

Ofqual also published the outcome of their consultation on centres collecting and retaining evidence of student performance as part of normal arrangements for preparing students to take exams. For a summary of both consultation outcomes, please see our news article.

Final exam timetables for summer 2023 are now available.

GCSE (9-1) Maths โ€“ November 2022 materials

Question papers from the GCSE (9-1) Maths November 2022 series are available from OCR Interchange.

Draft mark schemes for the series have just been published on Interchange.

Please do ensure that these are all kept secure so others can use them as mock assessments throughout the upcoming year.

Final mark schemes, analysis grids and examiners' reports will be available on results day (Thursday 12 January 2023). Please note that these will be published on our new Teach Cambridge site and not Interchange. If youโ€™ve not already got access to Teach Cambridge, you can find out more here.

Grade boundaries will also be published on results day.
