2023 exams update
Students in class

In September, the DfE and Ofqual announced arrangements for 2023 exams in GCSE, AS and A Levels.

  • Grading in 2023 will broadly be in line with before the pandemic.
  • Advance information will not be issued.
  • Formulae sheets will be provided in GCSE (9-1) Maths.

At the time of writing, Ofqual is still analysing the feedback to their consultation regarding the formulae and equation sheets to be issued in GCSE (9-1) Maths, Physics and Combined Science exams, as well as the one regarding centres collecting and retaining evidence of student performance as part of normal arrangements for preparing students to take exams.

The summer 2023 final exam timetables have just been published on the key dates and timetables page of our website.

For the latest updates, follow our @OCR_Maths Twitter account and also look out for future issues of this newsletter.

For more information, please see our news article.

We're always looking to improve the experience of students and teachers who are taking or delivering our qualifications.

We'd really appreciate your feedback on the recent exams if your students took them, to allow us to understand how they found the exams, what worked well and what didn't work so well.

We'll use your feedback to help improve future exams.
