GCSE (9-1) Maths – Recommendations for Change podcast
Students in lesson

We’ve recently been talking a lot about our recommendations for change in GCSE (9-1) Maths.

To help you get up to speed, last month we sat down with Twinkl Educational Publishing to talk all about the proposals and their potential for improving the experiences of maths for all, in particular for resit students.

The podcast lasts 20 minutes, so it's a great way to quickly boost your understanding of the ideas for change. Listen on Apple or Spotify.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this. If you have a moment to share your feedback, please email maths@ocr.org.uk or send us a direct message on social media at @OCR_Maths.

GCSE (9-1) Maths 1 & 2 mark tests
Person using calculator

We recently published a set of ‘1 & 2 mark tests’ for GCSE (9-1) Maths Foundation tier students, a brand-new resource ready for use during revision.

Each test is created entirely of 1 and 2 mark exam questions. Three tests are now available, comprising two calculator tests and one non-calculator test (to help students prepare for the structure of the actual qualification exams).

The resources can be used as a low-stakes introduction to past papers, with short, accessible and achievable questions that will help build students’ confidence ready for sitting the actual exams.

Download them now from Teach Cambridge (look in the ‘Exams’ section for ‘Practice materials’). Mark schemes are included.
