We have amended the study of the historic environment component for GCSE History A to fix the sites studied from June 2019 (Castles) and June 2020 (Urban Environments).

Complimentary Churchill day for Teachers

This full day course will explore the topic of the French Revolution and Napoleon, with sessions from OCR trainers, historians and curators and the heritage sector, giving teachers up to date information on the exams and teaching and learning.

Resources for Teachers of South African history units at GCSE and A Level

Liliesleaf is one of South Africa’s leading heritage sites and they have a website with teaching and learning resources.

They also have plans to turn the former ANC Headquarters in London into a Centre of Memory, with educational resources that will be very useful to teachers of South African history, which OCR is very happy to support  watch this space for further updates.
