November 2018 GCSE (9-1) Mathematics
Maths - November 2018 GCSE

The November 2018 series GCSE (9-1) Mathematics assessments are now available to download from Interchange. Mark schemes and grade boundaries will be published on results day (Wednesday 16 January 2019 to centres, Thursday 17 January 2019 to candidates).

Reformed Functional Skills materials now available

Draft versions of Centre Handbooks and Sample Assessment Materials for the reformed Functional Skills Mathematics qualifications have now been published. The reformed Functional Skills qualifications are for first teaching from September 2019.

If you deliver or are interested in the redevelopment of Functional Skills qualifications then we have some free webinars coming up, which will introduce the new content and assessment requirements. The next one is on Thursday 13 December.

Based on what you’ve told us, we’ve made a number of updates to our maths specifications and exam papers. Small updates, but they all add up and we believe they’ll create a better learning experience for both you and your students.

New A Level Maths Practice Papers – sets 3 and 4

Practice Papers (set 3) for A Level Mathematics A (H240) and A Level Mathematics B (MEI) (H640) and Practice Papers (set 2) for A Level Further Mathematics A (H245) and A Level Further Mathematics B (MEI) (H645) are all now available on Interchange.

Additional sets of Practice Papers (sets 4 for A Level Mathematics and sets 3 for A Level Further Mathematics) will be published beginning this month.

New A Level Maths and Further Maths resources
Maths - further resources

The first of our A level Maths Summer 2018 Exemplar Candidate Work resources are now published for Maths A and Maths B (MEI). They can be downloaded now from the A Level Mathematics A and Mathematics B (MEI) ‘Assessment’ webpages.

For A Level Further Mathematics B (MEI) new Section Check Ins have been published for Hyperbolic functions, Vectors and 3-D Space, Circular motion (b) and Dimensional analysis.

Wigan GCSE (9-1) Maths network

If you’re a maths teacher around Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside or Lancashire and you’d like to network with maths teachers while learning about how the assessments of the GCSE (9-1) Mathematics qualification have gone, come along to our free network in Wigan on 1 February 2019.

Maths - Wigan network event

It’ll be held at Wigan & Leigh College and we’ll look at student performance data to identify which Assessment Objectives and content students can improve in.
