Student getting their results

Our ‘Summer 23 support’ webpage is full of useful information to help you get ready for results days this year. It includes post-results services guidance, exams officer support, information about our free Active Results & Access to scripts services, links to support for your students and more.

We’ve also published several blogs for you and your students.

On results days, grade boundaries will be published here and the provisional exam statistics here.

Remember it has been announced that grading in 2023 will broadly be in line with before the pandemic. Ofqual has said that they expect ‘national results this year to be similar to those in pre-pandemic years’. For more information, please see Ofqual’s blog ‘10 things to know about GCSE, AS and A level grades’. If you have any questions, please do get in touch.

If you, your students or their parents would like to learn more about the examining process, please see our ‘Explaining examining’ support page.

Free access to scripts

From candidates’ results day, your exams officer will be able to download their completed summer 2023 scripts free of charge for OCR general qualifications. These scripts can then help you decide whether to request a review of marking, as well as supporting you and your department’s teaching and learning.

For more information and instructions for your exams officer on accessing scripts, please see our ‘Access to scripts’ webpage.

As standard for access to scripts requests, please be aware that

  • written consent from candidates must be obtained after they have received their results before your exams officer can download their script,
  • your exams officer will only have access to scripts taken at your own centre.

Level 3 FSMQ: Additional Maths - an enrichment of the GCSE curriculum blog

Steven has updated his ‘Level 3 FSMQ: Additional Maths (6993) - an enrichment of the GCSE curriculum’ blog, to now contain additional support links.

The blog looks at the benefits of studying Additional Maths alongside GCSE (9-1) Maths and how it can support your students’ confidence in maths, so is definitely worth a read.
