Maths supporting you during coronavirus
June - Total Maths

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the June edition of Total Maths.

How are things? We hope all is well with you and those close to you.

Our new Grade Submission System is now live for you to submit your students’ centre assessment grades and rank orders. The system is picking up lots of positive feedback and we’re pleased to hear it’s working well. Please see below for more information and support with the system.

We’d also like to draw your attention towards the support available from the AMSP for during school and college closures. This includes GCSE and A Level Professional Development, Core Maths top-ups and their Core Maths Online Festival.

If you have any questions or feedback, then please contact us. Our role is to support you as you deliver our qualifications.

Autumn 2020 series
Maths Autumn 2020 series

Ofqual recently launched a consultation on the proposed autumn 2020 series, which would enable students affected by the cancelled summer 2020 series to sit assessments.

The consultation proposes a series for A/AS Levels could be in October and for GCSEs in November, but that for GCSE (9-1) Maths this would just be the standard November series.

More information is available in our Policy news article.

The consultation is open until 23:45 on Monday 8 June and we encourage you to respond.

Summer 2020 conferences

The current situation has unfortunately caused many of the conferences and events planned for summer 2020 to be cancelled, but we’re pleased to say several are now taking place online.

We look forward to running a GCSE (9-1) Maths session at the Complete Mathematics conference on 20 June and are looking forward to the online MEI conference as well.
