Supporting you during coronavirus

Hi everyone

Our weekly round up includes an updated timeline, some new guidance videos on generating centre assessment grades and rank orders for general qualifications plus further updates on Cambridge Technicals intention to claim.

The arrangements for issuing Cambridge Nationals results this summer have now been confirmed and the submission window is 1 - 12 June.

We've also updated our teacher webpage - find more support on preparing to submit centre assessment grades, key dates and updated FAQs.

To support students, Lucinda Powell, education consultant in mental health and wellbeing has written a blog sharing 5 simple things students could try to help them find their place in this unusual situation.

We've received some great stories from our centres sharing how they've been adapting to remote teaching and learning during lock-down. You can read their stories on our Good News page.

As always, we’d like to thank you for your patience at this anxious time. We're continuing to work closely with other exam boards, Ofqual and the DfE so you can have clarity about every qualification.

NEW guidance videos - generating centre assessment grades and rank order
Submitting centre assessment grades videos

We've produced some videos to offer some further guidance for teachers, Heads of Department and Heads of Centre preparing to submit centre assessment grades and rank ordering.

These videos accompany the guidance documents which can be found on our dedicated teacher webpage under 'submitting centre assessment grades'.

From Tuesday next week, you will be able to book on to our grade submission system online training sessions. These training sessions will take you through a demo of our system for capturing centre assessment grades and rank orders. The dates for the online training are 26, 27 and 28 May - we're aware that, for many of you, this is half-term so a recording of the training will be available if you're unable to attend. More information will be provided early next week.

Further to our previous communication, if you had any candidates who were registered for a Cambridge Technicals qualification but who had not achieved any units, they were not included in the intention to claim spreadsheets we sent your Exam Officer.

Therefore, if this applies to your centre, we will be providing additional spreadsheets for these candidates, which you should receive by Monday 18 May.

We'll be in touch soon with more detail to let you know how to submit your centre assessment grades and rank orders.
